This volume, one of four including all the compositions in the Winchester Songbook (see also AE11, 16 and 17), contains four religious songs: Pater noster, Ave Maria, Credo in deum and Lolay lolay: As I lay. The three two-part pieces have English texts interspersed with Latin liturgical quotations such as Pater noster and Ave Maria; the fourth piece is monophonic and entirely in English, apparently the refrain and first verse of a carol whose lengthy text survives complete elsewhere. All the songs work best on solo voices. ii + 7 pages.
