Here Ian Higginson has used Christina Rossetti's well-known text for his new and appealing setting of this well-loved carol. Providing us with a new and slightly haunting tune in mostly triple time, the melody is supported by an equally haunting and flowing accompaniment, with choral parts which add sparkle to the rich harmonic texture. We do hope this piece will find it's way into the repertoire of many choirs and hope it will be a real treat for choirs and future listeners. Suitable for Services & Concerts
