THE BIBLE tells of Jesus’ birth, Jesus’ birth, Jesus’ birth,
the Son of God a child of earth,
who as our Saviour came. The Bible tells of Galilee,
Galilee, Galilee,
where Jesus taught beside the sea,
and healed the sick and lame.
2 The Bible tells what Jesus said, Jesus said, Jesus said,
who by his word the hungry fed and made the blind to see.
The Bible tells of Jesus’ care, Jesus’ care, Jesus’ care,
for all God’s children everywhere, including you and me.
3 The Bible tells how Jesus died, Jesus died, Jesus died,
the friend of sinners, crucified for those he came to save.
The Bible tells how Jesus rose, Jesus rose, Jesus rose,
no longer now in death’s repose but risen from the grave!
4 The Bible tells how Jesus lives, Jesus lives, Jesus lives,
and how abundant life he gives to those for whom he came.
The Bible shows him as our friend, as our friend, as our friend,
who walks beside us to the end, and knows us all by name.
