THE BIBLE is a shining light, shining light, shining light,
a lamp to lead us through the night
and guide us on our way. The Bible is a book of truth,
book of truth, book of truth, the gift of God to age and youth
to teach us day by day.
2 The Bible is our daily bread, daily bread, daily bread,
the food by which our souls are fed to keep us true and strong.
The Bible is the Spirit’s sword, Spirit’s sword, Spirit’s sword,
the power of God within his word to help us fight the wrong.
3 The Bible is the living seed, living seed, living seed,
to grow within us, as we read, the life of God above.
So open, Lord, my eyes to see, eyes to see, eyes to see,
the truth the Bible tells to me of Jesus and his love.
