Timothy Parsons is Assistant Director of Music at Exeter Cathedral, having previously held posts at the cathedrals of Hereford and Winchester. He was organ scholar at Selwyn College, Cambridge, graduating with a starred first in Music in 2014. At Exeter, he accompanies the cathedral choir in its recordings, broadcasts and tours, and directs the cathedral’s voluntary choir, the St Peter’s Singers. His recent solo recording on the organ of Exeter Cathedral has met with critical acclaim.
Ghislaine Reece-Trapp
Ghislaine Reece-Trapp studied music at Christ Church, Oxford, where she was Organ Scholar. She is a prize-winning Fellow of the Royal College of Organists, a Yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians, and Co-Chair of the Society of Women Organists. Ghislaine’s compositions have been performed by ensembles including BBC Singers, and have been recorded on the Signum Classics and Nimbus Record Labels. Her anthem, Alleluia! A new work is come on hand, is currently the RSCM’s second-best-selling carol.
Barbara Rusbridge
Barbara is a teacher of piano and singing, and MD of Westbury Singers Bristol. She has written choral music extensively for both children and adults, and is published both here and in USA. (She sings with the folk band Thornbridge,
and with Exultate Singers.) Much of her work is influenced by English Irish and Hebridean folk music. She has a particular interest in SAB writing, and her aim is to write music that is both enjoyable and quick to learn, but still full of interest.
Richard Shephard
Richard Shephard has been involved in church music for the whole of his life. He was a chorister at Gloucester Cathedral under the direction of Herbert Sumsion. From Gloucester he went to Corpus Christi College, Cambridge to read music, and having graduated, joined Salisbury Cathedral Choir. He taught at the Choir School, then Godolphin then back to the Choir School and 1973 was the year of his first publication with RSCM. In 1985 he moved to York as Headmaster of the Minster School. He also became Chamberlain and sang the daily office. After nineteen years as Head he moved to become the fundraiser for a vast project concerning the east front of York Minster. Ten years later he retired and the Archbishop appointed him as a lay canon.
